Lynne Jaben Bratcher

Lynne Jaben Bratcher, is a trial lawyer with Bratcher Gockel & Kingston, L.C., in Kansas City, MO handling plaintiffs’ discrimination, civil rights, and personal injury cases.  She has tried close to one hundred jury trials in federal and state courts, and has argued numerous appeals in both federal and state appellate courts. She was an adjunct professor of Trial Advocacy at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law from 1995 to 2001 and also coached the ATLA student trial competition, with teams competing both regionally and nationally.  She was the recipient of the Kansas City Association for Women Lawyers’ Lawyer of the Year award in 1997 and the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law’s Law Foundation Service Award in 2001. Ms Bratcher has an AV rating with Martindale Hubbell and has been listed as a “Super Lawyer” in Missouri and Kansas by “Law and Politics” for 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010 and was voted as  “Best of the Bar” by attorneys responding to the Kansas City Business Journal.  Ms Bratcher was a member of the Board of Directors of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys from 1996 – 2001and from 2010 to the present. Lynne has been certified as a practitioner of psychodrama since 2007 and is being inducted as a Fellow into the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers in 2010.  She and Marie Gockel started their trial firm in 1995, with the addition of Kristi Kingston in 1996.  The firm of Bratcher Gockel & Kingston, L.C. is a rare plaintiffs’ trial practice law firms in Kansas City with three women at the helm.
